SEQUENCE
Generates a list of sequential numbers, spilling automatically into a range of the size you specify.
Compatibility: Microsoft 365, Excel 2021+
Syntax
=SEQUENCE(rows, [columns], [start], [step])
Example
=SEQUENCE(10,1,1,1)
When to Use It
Use SEQUENCE to quickly generate a numbered list — e.g. row numbers, an ID column, or a series of dates when combined with date math — without typing or dragging to fill it manually.
