MAXIFS
Returns the largest value in a range, but only among rows that meet one or more conditions.
Compatibility: Excel 2019, Microsoft 365
Syntax
=MAXIFS(max_range, criteria_range1, criteria1, ...)
Example
=MAXIFS(C:C,A:A,"West")
When to Use It
Use MAXIFS to find the highest value within a specific category — e.g. the highest sale made in the West region only.
