SEARCH
Returns the position where one piece of text starts inside another, and is not case-sensitive.
Compatibility: All Excel versions
Syntax
=SEARCH(find_text, within_text, [start_num])
Example
=SEARCH("excel",A1)
When to Use It
Use SEARCH instead of FIND when case shouldn't matter — e.g. checking whether a word appears anywhere in a sentence regardless of capitalization.
