Checks multiple conditions in order and returns the result for the first one that's true — a flatter alternative to nested IF statements.

Syntax
=IFS(condition1, result1, [condition2, result2], ...)
Example
=IFS(A1>=90,"A",A1>=80,"B",A1>=70,"C",TRUE,"F")
When to Use It
Use IFS instead of deeply nested IF statements when sorting a value into several categories — it reads top to bottom instead of requiring nested parentheses.
